If you have been to Keystone Colorado this year you might have seen our Toyota FJ Cruiser in the parking lot. With a decision to start teaching skiing this winter has been busy. I have been splitting my time between Colorado Springs and Keystone where I have been teaching 3-4 days a week. This has been a new adventure for me that I have taken on with full commitment just like I did building our FJ. Growing up in Aspen and Crested Butte Colorado skiing has always been in my blood. With other ambitions, such as caving and adventure travel, Skiing took a back seat. I now have jumped back in with both feet.
We still will be traveling and taking adventure trips. Most will be in the skiing off season. I am planning a return trip to Vermilion Cliffs for our spring adventure this year. I have a few other ideas for some wild trips. You also will find me at Cruise Moab and the FJ Summit this year.
The FJ 40 is still a project in process. It has been at Reline Land Cruisers for a complete suspension rework as well as both driveline and body work. I look forward to getting it back at my house so I can complete much of the build work myself. Look for additional posts in the future on the 40. I hope to have it complete for some of our summer adventures but that my be to ambitious a plan.
I hope the winter is treating you all well and look for more post from My FJ Cruiser in the near future.
