It took some time to get the final build of my new All Pro Off Road front bumper completed. A new light bar from All Pro was ordered so the finish would match the new bumper finish. I upgrade the lighting system to include four 4″ Fuego lights. The winch install again required the solenoid to be removed and mounted in the bumper using the All Pro supplied bracket. I also drilles a hole in the left bumper wing for the winch remote plug.
The mounting system for the new bumper provides a very solid mount to the FJ frame.
To summarize what I like about this bumper:
- Light weight – With the bumper and winch installed I added only 100 lb to the front of the FJ. With our FJ dedicated to overlanding or adventure travel, GVW becomes a factor when adding modifications. If to much weight is added in mods then cargo capacity goes down.
- Great approach angle – We do lots of travel in Utah where sandstone ledges are all over the place. The All Pro front bumper gives one f the best front approach angles out there.
- Clean design – For me, I like the clean and simple lines of the All Pro Off Road front bumper.
- The latest edition of the bumper has a quality powder coat.
- The reinforcement mounting brackets make the bumper a very solid winch platform.
About my only concern is that the bumper will not keep a deer out of the front end. Larger massive bumpers are the only way to do this so it is a trade off.
I have been running All Pro Off Road aftermarket add parts and I have been very pleased with their support.
