When adventuring in our wonderful outdoors, simple things become very important. Enter Mountain Khaki Pants. Always looking for the best gear for our outdoor adventures, I received a pair of Mountain Khakis Original Mountain Pant to try out. I was already pleased with the fit having worn the pants over the last month as everyday wear. They look good on and are designed so they do not bind when active. I finally had the opportunity with our trip to Canyonlands White Rim last week to give the pants a try in their native environment.
With one trip under my belt I am very pleased with the performance of these pants. The cloth is thick enough to protect my legs during vehicle recovery or repair activities. I had no problem fitting a pair of pile liners under the pants for additional warmth in the cold Utah mornings and the deep front pockets were a good place to stow my keys and not have to worry about losing them. Only time will tell how the pants will hold up, but I have no doubt that the “extended use report” will be very favorable based on the attention to detail and quality construction.
My only problem is the pants look too good to be used. I guess I’ll just have to get a second pair to wear out on the town.
