With the addition of the ARB rooftop tent to my expedition trailer came the need to be able to level the trailer. The existing trailer stand is of a fixed length and to level the trailer required stacking rocks. To make the system more function I have added a crank up jack stand to the tongue. I purchased a tube mount jack with 15 inch lift and the crank is on the side. With the trailer level the tongue is 27 inches off the ground so a long jack is required.

Shows the jack stand mount relocated.
To get the jack where it is half extended at 27 inches required that the mounting point be moved. I did this by cutting it off from the original position and re-welding it about 5 inches higher on the jack.
The tube mount was welded to the side of the trailer tongue. The jack will not stow on the tongue turned sideways so I added a second tube mount on the front of the tube where the jack is stowed when not in use.

With the completed jack stand installed I get 6″ of vertical lift in the front. With the full range of 15″ I will be able to level the trailer easily on sloped parking areas.
